Consumer rights at a gas station

In case of discovering an underfill of fuel, the buyer has the right to demand an immediate check, and if the gas station (АЗС) refuses to do so, they can even go to court. It is important to note that if a consumer has doubts about the accuracy of the measurements at the pump and the possibility of an underfill, they should take the following actions: 1. Contact the operator of the gas station and inform them of their concerns. 2. The operator must immediately check the accuracy of the measurement using a reference measuring can. The permissible deviation should not exceed 0.5-1% depending on the fuel density. 3. If an underfill is detected, the consumer must be refunded for the missing fuel, and further use of this pump will be suspended until repairs and subsequent verification are carried out. 4. If the gas station (АЗС) refuses to comply with the client's legal demands, the consumer has the right to file a complaint with the territorial body of the Derzhspozhyvsluzhba at the station's location.
