I receive a pension in Ukraine and want to know under what conditions its payment can be terminated. For example, if I go abroad for permanent residence or if I do not pass physical identification. What are the main grounds for terminating pension payments provided for by Ukrainian legislation?

Pension payments may be terminated by a decision of the territorial bodies of the Pension Fund or by a court decision in accordance with Article 49 of the Law of Ukraine “On Compulsory State Pension Insurance”. The main grounds for terminating pension payments are: 1. if the pension was granted based on documents containing false information; 2. for the entire period of the pensioner's residence abroad, unless otherwise provided by an international treaty of Ukraine, the binding nature of which has been consented to by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine; 3. upon the pensioner's application to terminate pension payments due to temporary residence abroad; 4. in the event of the pensioner's death, being declared missing, or declared deceased in the manner prescribed by law; 5. if the pensioner is granted the status of a person missing under special circumstances, in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On the Legal Status of Persons Missing under Special Circumstances”; 6. in case of non-receipt of the granted pension for 6 consecutive months; 7. in case of failure to undergo physical identification in cases provided for by law.
