Will there be liability for attempting to use technical means to pass the traffic law exam?

I am interested in whether there is liability for individuals who attempt to use technical devices to pass a traffic law exam but are caught before receiving the appropriate document? I have encountered this problem myself and want to know what the consequences may be.
