Am I entitled to additional time off after donating blood?

According to the State Labor Service, an employee who donates blood is entitled to an additional day off. It can be used immediately after the donation or added to annual leave. To do this, you must notify your management no later than one working day before donating blood and provide documentary confirmation of the donation. Is the employer obliged to provide me with this additional day off if I previously notified him about donating blood and provided a certificate from the blood transfusion center?
