Is treason considered complete if a person voluntarily surrenders to captivity?

I am interested in the question of whether treason can be considered completed if the person who committed it later voluntarily surrendered to the Armed Forces of Ukraine? I read about a case in Sumy where a man was sentenced to 15 years in prison for treason, but he surrendered after being wounded.
