Will politicians' statements about meetings between Ukraine and the Russian Federation have legal consequences?

I am interested in whether statements by politicians from other countries about the possibility of a meeting between the President of Ukraine and representatives of the Russian Federation could have any legal consequences for Ukraine in the future? Could they be the basis for demands to fulfill certain obligations?
