Can a lawyer claim compensation for assault and robbery?

I am wondering if a lawyer who was beaten and robbed is entitled to compensation for the damage he suffered? What steps should he take to receive it?

Article 398 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Threat or violence against a defense attorney or representative of a person
- Threat of murder, violence or destruction or damage to property against a defense attorney or representative of a person, as well as against their close relatives in connection with activities related to the provision of legal assistance, -
shall be punishable by probationary supervision for a term of up to three years or restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, or imprisonment for the same term.
- Intentional infliction of light or moderate bodily injury to a defense attorney or representative of a person or their close relatives in connection with activities related to the provision of legal assistance, -
shall be punishable by restriction of liberty for a term of three to five years or imprisonment for the same term.
- Intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm to the same persons in connection with activities related to the provision of legal assistance -
shall be punishable by imprisonment for a term of seven to twelve years.
