Maternity benefit is provided to the insured person in the form of insurance payments that fully or partially compensate for the loss of wages (income) during the period of leave due to pregnancy and childbirth.

Also, the employee is entitled to assistance during the aforementioned leave from the date of the right to leave in connection with pregnancy and childbirth, even in cases where:

  • there is a period of downtime of the enterprise, institution, organization through no fault of the insured person,

  • during annual (main or additional) leave,

  • during unpaid leave,

  • during additional leave due to studies,

  • during creative vacation.
