Is the employer obliged to provide employees with personal protective equipment against coronavirus?
According to Article 13 of the Law of Ukraine "On Ensuring the Sanitary and Epidemic Well-being of the Population", employers are obliged to provide sanitary and hygienic working conditions that prevent the occurrence of occupational diseases and accidents at work. Article 153 of the Labor Code of Ukraine provides for the obligation of the owner or the body authorized by him to ensure safe and harmless working conditions for employees. Do you think that these norms oblige the employer to provide employees with personal protective equipment against coronavirus during the pandemic?
