For employment, an employee must undergo a preliminary medical examination (Article 159 of the Labor Code of Ukraine). The employer, on the other hand, must organize a medical examination at his own expense before hiring persons who require professional selection, who are employed in jobs with harmful or dangerous working conditions, as well as in difficult jobs.
