The Grand Chamber of the Supreme Court is a permanent collegial body of the Supreme Court.
The Chamber receives the most difficult cases for consideration.
Grand Chamber of the Supreme Court:
1) reviews court decisions in the cassation procedure in order to ensure the uniform application of legal norms by courts;
2) acts as an appellate court in cases considered by the Supreme Court as a court of first instance;
3) analyzes court statistics and studies court practice, summarizes court practice;
4) exercises other powers defined by law.
