My 19-year-old child graduated from 11th grade this year and entered college on a budget. We are IDPs. Is she entitled to free meals? Because we were refused, he pointed out that she is no longer a child, but an adult.

The following are entitled to free meals:

  • orphans;

  • children deprived of parental care;

  • children with special educational needs who study in special and inclusive classes (groups);

  • children from low-income families;

  • children from families of fallen (deceased) war veterans and families of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine;

  • children - internally displaced persons;

  • children who have the status of a child who suffered as a result of hostilities and armed conflicts;

  • students of educational institutions located in the territories of radioactive contamination, as well as children evacuated from the exclusion zone, children who are disabled as a result of the Chernobyl disaster.

That is, only children under 18 of the above-mentioned categories have the right to free meals in educational institutions.
