To date, in order to take an animal out of Ukraine, it is necessary to have a veterinary certificate (certificate) form No. 1, issued no later than 5 days before the date of departure. Such a document is the basis for issuing an international veterinary certificate for crossing the border. To obtain a veterinary certificate, it is necessary to apply to the state institution of veterinary medicine at the place of residence. A veterinary certificate is issued only if the animal:

  • clinically healthy;

  • has an international veterinary and sanitary passport of the established model;

  • chipped;

  • vaccinated against rabies no earlier than 30 days before the date of obtaining the veterinary certificate;

  • has the results of a laboratory test of blood serum for the presence of antibodies to the causative agent of rabies (FAVN test, date of selection of material for research - no later than 90 days before obtaining a veterinary certificate).
