What gives the status of UBD?

Servicemen of all armed forces of Ukraine, including volunteers, have the right to receive the status of combatant. It gives the right to free travel in transport, priority treatment, a discount on utility services and rent. Status is also important when receiving benefits for military personnel and their families.
