I am interested in the question of whether treason can be considered completed if the person who committed it later voluntarily surrendered to the Armed Forces of Ukraine? I read about a case in Sumy where a man was sentenced to 15 years in prison for treason, but he surrendered after being wounded.
I found an old grenade at home and want to turn it in to the authorities. Will I be exempted from criminal liability for voluntarily surrendering a weapon if I did not know about it and did not use it before?
If I found a weapon and immediately declared it, but then law enforcement officers found out, can they hold me criminally liable under Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine if I voluntarily surrendered the weapon?
