Can you drink beer in parks? Isn't this an administrative violation?
The law on the consumption of alcoholic beverages is actually the Law of Ukraine "On State Regulation of the Production and Circulation of Ethyl Alcohol, Cognac, and Fruit Alcohol, Alcoholic Beverages, and Tobacco Products." This law, in Article 15-2, prohibits the consumption of alcoholic beverages in public transport and in public places.
Alcoholic beverages mean beer, alcoholic and low-alcohol beverages.
According to the legislation governing the consumption of alcoholic beverages, it is prohibited in the parks.
Fines for drinking alcoholic beverages are established by Article 178 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
*Drinking of beer (except non-alcoholic), alcoholic and low-alcohol beverages on the streets, in closed sports facilities, in squares, parks, in all types of public transport (including international transport) and in other places prohibited by law, except for trade and public catering enterprises, in which the sale of beer, alcoholic, low-alcohol beverages on tap is permitted by the relevant local self-government body, or appearing in public places in a drunken state that offends human dignity and public morality, -
entails a warning or the imposition of a fine from one to five tax-free minimum incomes of citizens.*
**First of all, responsibility arises for drinking alcoholic beverages on the street and in public places, provided that the appearance and behavior of the offender offends human dignity and public morality.
That is, it follows from the above that appearing on the street in a drunken state is not a violation in itself, if your appearance does not offend the public.**
