Guarantees for a civil servant are the basic provisions established in the legislation that characterize the socio-legal aspect of the status of a civil servant. They include normatively determined measures of an economic, social, organizational and legal nature, aimed at ensuring the realization of the general rights and duties of a civil servant and the effective performance of official powers.
The civil servant is guaranteed:
working conditions that ensure the fulfillment of official duties;
wages and other payments stipulated by laws and other normative legal acts;
annual paid leave;
medical care of a civil servant and his family members, including after his retirement;
re-training (re-qualification) and advanced training with preservation of monetary support for the period of study;
the mandatory consent of a civil servant to transfer to another state position in the civil service, except for cases provided for by law;
pension provision for years of service and pension provision for family members of a civil servant in the event of his death, which occurred in connection with the performance of his official duties;
protection of a civil servant and his family members from violence, threats, and other illegal actions in connection with the performance of his official duties in accordance with the law.
