The standard period of training for a doctor of philosophy in postgraduate studies is four years. The new draft law states: "Conscripts for military service during mobilization, for a special period, are also not subject to professional (vocational-technical), professional, pre-university and higher education, who study full-time or dual forms of education and obtain the level of education, which is higher than the previously obtained level of education in the sequence defined in the second part of Article 10 of the Law of Ukraine "On Education" (except for graduate students who obtain the level of education at the expense of individuals or legal entities under the terms of the contract), as well as doctoral students and persons enrolled in internship studies". That is, if you enroll in graduate school under a contract, you will not have a deferment from mobilization.
