Can you leave a child at home alone?
It is believed that children under the age of 7 cannot be left at home without an adult. However, when deciding this, parents need to be guided by common sense.
What parents need to remember before leaving a child alone:
In no case should a child be left alone by force, without his consent, or if he cries and asks not to go.
Be sure to tell the baby about the reasons for your absence in a certain period of time and indicate when you will return.
Talk to your child about safety rules. Make sure she doesn't open the door to anyone else until her parents are home.
Also, the baby should know which equipment and things he should not touch.
Do not check on the child and ring the doorbell pretending to be a stranger. If you don't trust her, don't leave her alone at home.
• Be sure to teach the child how to use the phone and dial parents if necessary.
