However, it is advisable to mark the time of the employee's absence in the time sheet with the notation "I" - other reasons for absence or "NC" - absence for unexplained reasons.

Employees who do not go to work as a result of hostilities and related circumstances cannot be dismissed under clause 4 of the first part of article 40 of the Labor Code of Ukraine on the grounds of "absenteeism".

This is due to the need to preserve the life and health of such employees and their families and is considered as absence from work for good reasons. If no layoff has been announced, in this case, the employees retain their workplace and position.
