The possibility of dismissal on the last day of vacation, that is, on a day when the employee did not work, is expressly provided for in Art. 3 of the Law of Ukraine dated November 15, 1996 No. 504/96-VR "On Vacations".
According to Art. 38 of the Labor Code, you must notify your employer in writing that you plan to resign within 2 weeks.
If you apply for dismissal in such a way that the last day of the employer's two-week notice of further dismissal falls on the last day of vacation, then such day will be simultaneously the day of dismissal, regardless of whether it is a holiday or not.
